SXSW – Beware the $100 Hot Sauce
For anyone at SXSW who’s noticed Tears of Joy, the hot sauce store on 6th and Sabine, beware. Inside is a vial of $100 hot sauce called The Source. It’s kept in a skull-shaped chalice with a warning sign that says “STOP!!! Do Not Touch.”
A word to the wise: do not taste, either, unless you have a masochistic pallet–in which case you’ll feel your taste buds die and go straight to oral S&M heaven. Or, hell, depending on how you look at it.
The Source is not the most expensive sauce in the store, however. The priciest concoction costs $400. It’s not on display and is not available for sampling, probably for liability reasons.
