Original Hipster’s Creed
Original Hipster’s Creed
1. Popular does not necessarily mean bad. It doesn’t necessarily mean good, either. The Original Hipster does not discriminate based on popularity—or major record labels.
2. Obscure does not necessarily mean bad. It doesn’t necessarily mean good, either. The Original Hipster does not discriminate based on obscurity.
3. Old does not necessarily mean bad. It doesn’t necessarily mean good, either. The Original Hipster does not discriminate against music based on its age, the age of the musicians creating it, or the point at which those musicians are in their career.
4. New does not necessarily mean bad. It doesn’t necessarily mean good, either. The Original Hipster does not discriminate against music based on its age, the age of the musicians creating it, or the point at which those musicians are in their career.
5. The Original Hipster assimilates personal musical taste based on the discerning abilities of two things: ears.
6. Most importantly, the Original Hipster is neither threatened nor overly influenced by the opinions of others. The Original Hipster is not afraid that anyone will think the O.H. to be uncool.
7. The Original Hipster thinks you can be original, too.
